Trial Version Questions

Is the trial version of studyPerfect the same as the version I can purchase?

Yes, the studyPerfect trial version is our fully featured software. When the trial has expired after 30 days, you can purchase studyPerfect to reactivate your software.

Will I be able to keep the flashcard decks I made with the Trial Version?

Yes, once you purchase and reactivate studyPerfect, all your flashcards will still be there, just as they were with the trial version.

I am having trouble entering in my Activation Key correctly. Any suggestions?

You can try to copy and paste your activation key in or you can activate it at our website. On the Main page, click on Sign In. Enter your email address and password you used when you purchased studyPerfect. Then click on Download/Activation. Your Activation Key should be listed in the table. Click on Select and then follow the instructions given.

How many computers will my license/copy of studyPerfect work on?

One license of studyPerfect can be activated on one computer at a time. If you need to use your copy of studyPerfect on a different computer, you can simply deactivate it on your current computer (go to Help Menu) and reactivate it on another computer.

When I try to activate studyPerfect on my computer, a message appears that says it has been activated too many times. What does this mean?

Your studyPerfect software can only be activated on one computer per license you purchased. For example, if you purchased 4 licenses, studyPerfect can be activated on 4 computers. If you need to use your copy of studyPerfect on a different computer, you can simply deactivate it on your current computer (go to Help Menu) and reactivate it on another computer.

How can I check how many more computers I can activate studyPerfect on?

Go to our website and on the Main page, click on Sign In. Enter your email address and password you used when you purchased studyPerfect. Then click on Download/Activation. The table will have listed how many activations you have left.

I lost my activation key. How can I get it?

Your Activation Key will always be stored on our website. On the Main page, click on Sign In. Enter your email address and password you used when you purchased studyPerfect. Then click on Download/Activation. Your Activation Key should be listed in the table.

How do I do accent characters for foreign languages?

Go to the Insert Menu and click on Symbols. Here you can select symbols you would like to insert. Click on the Symbols Toolbar tab and you can create Hot Keys of the symbols you use frequently which will be displayed on a table on the left side of the screen.

Can this be used on my Mac?

No, at this time studyPerfect can only be supported on PCs.

How do I get Patches or Updates that become available?

studyPerfect will periodically check for updates that have become available when it has internet access. You can also do this yourself by clicking on the Help Menu and then click on Check for Updates.

Do I need internet access to run studyPerfect?

You do not need internet access to run studyPerfect. However, you will need internet access when activating/deactivating studyPerfect or when checking for updates.

How do I combine decks together?

studyPerfect gives you the option to combine flashcard decks so that you can study them at the same time. To do this, Open one of the decks that you wish to combine. Click on the File Menu, then click on Merge. Select the flashcard deck file you would like to Merge and click Open. You can combine as many decks together as needed. Note: When saving the combined deck of flashcards, if you would like to keep all the decks saved separately, be sure to save the new deck under a different file name.

Is there a way to recover my current deck of cards in case of a system crash?

In the case of a system crash, studyPerfect will save the deck you are currently working on. When you reopen studyPerfect, you will be prompted to answer whether you would like to recover the lost deck. If you click on Yes, the lost deck will be opened. If you click on No, you will be able to open the last saved version of the deck. You can also recover the lost deck in a recovery folder located where you last saved or opened a file. The name of the file will be on the folder (or Untitled if you haven’t named it) with recovery information. Inside the folder will be two files. The TEMP file will be the deck that was lost when the system crash occurred, while the other file is the original deck (if you had previously saved the deck).

Why are there disabled menu items?

studyPerfect enables or disables certain menu items depending on the actions being taken with your current deck of flashcards. For example, if you are typing text on the current flashcard side, the graphical menu items will be disabled. Or if you are studying your flashcard deck, the Edit menu items will be disabled.

Why are the font style changes lost when going to a new card?

Because many different fonts can be used with the flashcards, studyPerfect will always use the font of the first letter of the flashcard that is displayed before the new card is added or inserted.

What happens to text/images that go outside the viewable area?

Text/images that extend beyond the viewable area will be saved but will not be displayed while in study mode or printed.

What is the little + sign for, that shows up and the bottom of the flashcard?

This indicates that the data on the current flashcard extends beyond the viewable area and will not be displayed while in study mode or printed.

Why do the bullets and numbers always revert back to the number bullets when the level is increased or decreased?

When increasing or decreasing the bullets on the flashcards, if the bullets revert back to the number bullets, you will need to manually change them back to your desired bullets by clicking on the Format menu ->Bullets and Numbering -> Attributes. This is a known issue and studyPerfect is working on a solution to resolve the issue.
